Thursday 5th of April 2018
Semco Maritime has been selected by a joint venture between Canadian power producer Northland Power Inc. (NPI) and Taiwan-based Yushan Energy for an engineering study for the Hai Long offshore wind farm in the Changhua area in Taiwan.
The 1.2GW Hai Long development incorporates two offshore wind farms buildings, one with a capacity of 700MW and another one of 500MW, with both offshore wind farms expected to use 6-8MW offshore wind turbines.
The projects will result in over 1000MW of Offshore Windpower being made available to the Taiwan electrical power grid.
